Pikmin 4 will have a day-one update
Something to make note of for launch day
Pikmin 4 is coming to Switch on July 21st, 2023, which means we’re just a few days away from some plucky Pikmin action! Those planning to pick up the game should prepare now, as Nintendo has confirmed that there will be a day-one update available.
As usual, Nintendo’s patch notes for this update don’t say much, but there’s a chance more details will be shared once the patch is actually live. This update brings the game to Ver. 1.0.1, and the patch notes are as follows:
- Various issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

In all seriousness, I'm sure I'll love the game, but the co-op in 3 Deluxe was SO GOOD. One of my friends noted that it was probably the best co-op experience Nintendo had ever put out.
