As previously announced, an HD-2D remake of Star Ocean: The Second Story is coming to Nintendo Switch, titled Star Ocean: The Second Story R. It will be released on November 2nd, 2023, and ahead of that release we’ve gotten some fresh details on the revamp’s voice acting.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R will include three options for voice acting, with two coming from the PSP release, and a third being a new recording from the Japanese cast. Players will be able to swap between any of the voice acting options at any time during gameplay.
In Star Ocean: The Second Story R, experience an epic tale where Fantasy and Science Fiction collides as you get to know party members via the unique Private Actions system, grow their relationships and unlock a variety of different endings. Play as either Claude or Rena and make decisions that will impact your destiny.
