We mentioned a couple of weeks back that Behaviour Interactive was going to run some server tests in Dead by Daylight with the goal of improving the experience for all players. Those tests are now over, and Behaviour has a wealth of information to share.

The blog post shared detailing the tests themselves and the results is incredibly long, but we have boiled things down to what Behaviour plans to do with their findings. These are the clear-cut changes Behaviour will be making in order to make matchmaking better for all players.

  • Reducing the maximum range
  • Reducing the expansion time proportionally (so it’s no faster or slower than before)
  • Lowering the effective cap for skill ratings
  • Removing grades from the post-match screen for the foreseeable future

If you want to see just how Behaviour got to this set of changes, you can read through their entire blog post here.
