McDonald’s collaborating with Pokémon Co. once again this Summer

Pokémon Co. and McDonald’s have teamed up quite a few times in the past for toys, trading cards and more. These collaborations have all led to major sales and rabid fans swarming McDonald’s locations, and it looks like the fast food chain is ready for the chaos once more.

This time around, McDonald’s will be offering yet another Pokémon TCG promotion, and things are set to kick off in both Germany and Austria on July 27th, 2023. This will be followed by a UK launch on August 23rd, 2023. No plans have been revealed for North America at this time, but there’s no doubt the tie-in will come our way.

This Pokémon TCG set will feature 15 reprinted cards from Scarlet & Violet. The only exception is Pikachu, which comes from Paldea Evolved. Six cards in this lineup will be holo: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Cetitan, Pikachu, and Klawf. It’s also worth noting that this will be the first McDonald’s release to feature foil borders.

Lastly, you’ll also get a booster pack and toy when purchasing a Happy Meal. Each booster pack will come with four promo cards, one of which is holo. As for the toys, they will once again be the “Match & Battle” style we saw last year, but with updated designs.
