The World Ends With You anniversary celebrated with new art

The original The World Ends With You launched back on July 27th, 2007 for the Nintendo DS, and the sequel arrived 14 years later on July 27th, 2021. That means both games are celebrating anniversaries this week, and an important part of the team is recognizing the occasion with something special.

Gen Kobayashi is the character designer for The World Ends With You series, and they’ve taken to Twitter to share the artwork you see above. The art features the protagonists of both games, and makes mention of how many years its been since the titles released.

If you’ve never played The World Ends With You or its sequel, you can remedy that situation on Switch today! The World Ends with You: Final Remix is available for $50 while NEO: The World Ends with You is priced at $60, and there’s even a demo for the latter.
