Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE launched as a Switch exclusive just a little over a month ago, and we’re already getting a sales update from publisher Spike Chunsoft. Turns out going exclusively with the Switch audience for this new IP turned out to be a very wise decision.

Publisher Spike Chunsoft and developer Too Kyo Games have revealed that total shipments and digital sales for Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE are now sitting at 300,000+ units worldwide as of July 31st, 2023. That’s a stellar achievement for a brand-new IP available on a single platform!

Along with this announcement, Spike Chunsoft has also shared updated restrictions for those looking to stream the game. As the game has been available for a month+ now, Spike Chunsoft is allowing user-created gameplay videos featuring footage up to Chapter 2. This obviously mostly applies to streamers and those looking to monetize their footage.
