As you have no doubt heard, Hollywood is in a state of turmoil right now due to the writer strike. This strike has been going on for months now, and there’s no real end in sight. Since the start of the strike, actors and crewman have joined in with the unions to stand their ground and get a better deal for all.

Obviously, this strike has impacted the creation of just about everything in Hollywood, and that certainly includes movies. This means any movie in production will likely see considerable delays, as actors aren’t heading to the set and skeleton crews are working the setup. The upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie is very much a part of this situation.

While not officially confirmed, we’re hearing that filming on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will indeed continue, but with one major difference. Since the actors aren’t participating on the film due to the strike, Paramount will be doing principle filming for non-actor scenes. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will feature a ton of CG work just as the two films before it did, so there’s plenty of content to film that doesn’t involve any on-screen actors. This is certainly one way Paramount could hope to keep the film on-track while writer negotiations hopefully come together.

Should any delays for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 get revealed, we’ll certainly bring those details to you.

Thanks to Andreslop24 for the heads up!
