Switch Online version of GoldenEye 007 gets a graphical update

While most people will play GoldenEye 007 on Switch Online and think it looks just like the N64 original, diehard fans were quick to point out a number of niggling issues. While they weren’t game-breaking issues by any means, they were noticeable hiccups.

Surprisingly, Nintendo has gone in and fixed up some of these problems with yesterday’s Switch Online update. While there are no official patch notes for this update just yet, dataminers have dug into the details to see what the Big N tweaked. Here’s the fixes that have been spotted so far.

• Texture tiling on Dam fixed
• Dark textures on Bunker fixed

Unfortunately, there are still some other visual issues that need to be fixed up, but we don’t know that that will happen. Along with that, it seems like the audio quality may have taken an unintended hit with this update as well, resulting in lower quality. This is no doubt a mistake, and Nintendo should revert things soon.
