While previous NBA 2K titles on Switch have aimed for parity with other versions, there were always one or two elements that didn’t make the cut. That is once again the case with NBA 2K24, as a newly-added feature for some platforms won’t make its way to the Switch release.

NBA 2K24 is the first in the series to introduce the ProPLAY feature, which 2K says “propels the franchise even further with cutting-edge technology to directly translate movements from real NBA games into NBA 2K24 gameplay.” Unfortunately, ProPLAY will only be available in the PS5/XSX versions of the game.

If you’re worried this means a Switch outing that lacks attention to detail, you can rest easy. 2K has also stated that gameplay enhancements were made across all versions of NBA 2K24 to provide an elevated experience for everyone. As for just how different NBA 2K24 on Switch will play versus the ProPLAY-enhanced versions, we’ll have to wait and see.

This will be the 1st time I skip NBA2K on switch. It’s a hefty price & file size for just a roster update with missing features. Last year the switch version not having MyEras mode killed my interest.
