Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide makes U.S. top 10 books list for July 2023

There was a day and age when game guides were extremely sought-after. Publishers would make sure their game had a strategy guide available at launch, and every retailer that sold games would push these guides hard. As the years rolled on and the internet became more prevalent, the need for game guides dried up considerably.

Publishers still put out strategy guides and other similar books alongside their big-name releases, but it’s certainly a much rarer occurrence nowadays. Nintendo happens to be one of those publishers, as they release guides alongside major titles like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Turns out the decision to continue down that route has paid off.

The list of top 10 best-selling books in the U.S. for July 2023 has come out, and believe it or not, the official guide book for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has made its way onto the list. Even more impressive, it landed in the 4th spot overall! It looks like the sheer amount of content in the game was enough to push players towards picking up a guide to have at their side.
