Nintendo hosted a Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct earlier today, giving us 15+ minutes of new gameplay, details and more. Following that Direct, we’re getting a bit more insight into the team crafting this adventure.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has some big-name Nintendo devs steering it, which should make longtime Mario fans even more excited. It’s been confirmed that Takashi Tezuka is leading the game as its producer. For those who don’t know, Tezuka was a co-designer of the original Super Mario Bros., so the game is very much in good hands.

Along with that, Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s director is Shiro Mouri, who most recently worked on 2012’s New Super Mario Bros. U, as well as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Switch. This combination of old and new Mario minds should make for one fantastic adventure!
