Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon released for the 3DS back in 2017, and they included an incredible 809 Pokémon for players to catch. That was a series record that seemed like it would stand for decades to come, but it’s actually been broken as of today.

Over in Pokémon GO, Niantic has kicked off an event that adds in a slew of Paldea-region Pokémon to the experience. With this latest addition, Pokémon GO now beats out the Pokémon total in any mainline game the series has seen.

Hopefully you have a considerable amount of free time to catch’em all in Pokémon GO, because now there’s a whopping 814 out there to encounter. There’s no doubt some trainers have already set out to complete the updated Pokédex, and whoever does it first is going to have some serious bragging rights!

That's...rather sad (and pathetic) I gotta say.
