Mar. 2022 NPD: Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware in units, top 10 best selling games on Switch, and more
Look at Kirby go!
According to NPD, the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling system in the US during March 2022 in unit sales, but unlike the previous month, Xbox Series edged it out in terms of dollars. Of the top 20 best-selling games in March, 7 of them were published by Nintendo. Kirby and the Forgotten Land was the third best-selling game overall, with Elden Ring from publisher Bandai Namco and Sony’s Gran Turismo 7 coming in first and second place respectively.
Here is the complete list for the top 20 sellers and the top 10 sellers on Nintendo platforms, but keep in mind that digital sales are not included in this data, only physical copies:
You can find more tidbits about how the industry performed in the U.S. during March 2022 in the thread below:

2y agoListing MLB the Show and Minecraft as multiple manufacturers is dumb. And I can't believe that DS game is still selling so well for Nintendo. U Deluxe would dream for those legs.
Sony doesn’t publish the Switch/Xbox versions of The Show (MLB themselves does), and Microsoft doesn’t publish the physical Switch/PS4 Minecraft copies (Nintendo/Sony does), hence the multiple thing.

2y agoTriangle Strategy charting at no. 16 for all software is no small feat given the genre. Only a matter of time before SE makes that million copies sold announcement; I assume TS2 has already been greenlit.
Team Asano is on a tear, and it will only improve their standing when Live A Live and especially DQ3 release. Not to mention the eventual Octopath sequel and Bravely Default II the 2nd 🙃.
