Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster bug could lock your game

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster just launched on Switch yesterday, and for the most part, it seems to be a quality port. Unfortunately, some players have come across one bug that could result in your game being locked.
Redditor Woeladenchild was one of the unlucky players out there who’s been hit by this bug, which is why they’re sharing details on how to avoid it until Bandai Namco can release a patch. It all has to do with the Build Deck screen, which seems to have a glitch that can remove part of the menu’s navigation.
If you’re on the Build Deck screen and you press X, the options for Sort and Filter both disappear. They will not return until you close out of the menu and return. The thing is, if you try to use this functionality while the Sort and Filter options are gone, the game can lock. This forces you to close the game and restart.
The good news is that it’s an easy bug to avoid once you know of it, and you can also work around it should you accidentally activate it. That said, hopefully Bandai Namco acknowledges the bug and fixes things soon.
