NACON, Jumpgate AB and Les Éditions Albert René have shared a new gameplay teaser for Asterix & Obelix: Heroes. This trailer provides a preview of the gameplay, the different playable characters and the various environments to explore in this turn-based strategy card game. Developed by the Jumpgate gameXcite studio, it will be out on 5 October 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
About the game:
In Asterix & Obelix: Heroes, players can experience a new Asterix adventure never seen in the comics, in a game designed to appeal to everyone. They must assemble their favourite heroes from the franchise to face the enemy in card battle!
It is the year 50 BCE, and the whole of Gaul is occupied by the Romans… Well, not quite all! There is one indomitable Gaulish village still holding out against the invaders. Asterix & Obelix: Heroes immerses players into an ancient Gaul once again under threat from Julius Caesar, who is set on seizing the mythical Sword of Toutatis, which according to legend has the power to subject all the Gauls to his will. They must travel across 6 iconic locations of the comic series, to recover the pieces of a mysterious map leading to this coveted sword.
Asterix & Obelix: Heroes is a turn-based strategy card game, in which players must form a team of 4 heroes from the 24 unlockable characters, in order to vanquish the enemies standing in their way. They can craft their own decks, drawing on unique skills from each hero, to face the plethora of battles and challenges lying in wait in each of the 6 iconic regions of the Asterix world.

- 24 ICONIC PLAYABLE CHARACTERS FROM THE SERIES – Recruit and play as your favourite characters with unique skills, such as Cleopatra, Dogmatix, Vitalstatistix or Panacea.
- CREATE YOUR OWN DECKS – Collect cards with a variety of effects, and craft your own deck.
- 6 ICONIC REGIONS – Travel across the Asterix world, through Gaul, Egypt, Britain, the Carnutes Forest, the Land of the Norse and Rome.
