Maria detailed in the latest poster for Castlevania: Nocturne

Netflix previously announced Castlevania: Nocturne, a new animated series, over a year ago. Not that long ago, they revealed that the series will finally make its debut September 28th, 2023. Ahead of that release, Netflix has shared another character poster, and this one features Maria.

Maria is a heroine vampire huntress, capable using magic to summon animals. But more importantly, she’s a natural leader with a strong moral compass. She’s against inequality, but even more against the vampire elite.

Castlevania: Nocturne is led by showrunner Kevin Kolde and Creator/Writer Clive Bradley, and is produced by Project 51 Productions with production services provided by Powerhouse Animation. The show will have 8 episodes that are each roughly 25 minutes long.

Castlevania: Nocturne follows Richter, a descendant of the Belmont family, popularized in the iconic Symphony of Night and Blood of Rondo Castlevania games. This story in particular will tell the story of Richter during the French Revolution.
