As we mentioned earlier, Mortal Kombat 1 is now available on Switch. Unfortunately, that launch comes with a surprise announcement from Warner Bros. that’s not exactly exciting news.

Warner Bros. has revealed that Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch is missing some content, but it will be added in the coming weeks. In particular, the game’s Invasions Mode will only include the introduction, with the remaining content still in the works. Warner Bros. says the free update is coming ‘in a matter of week,’ and they apologized for the issue.

Invasions Mode is described as a Mario Party-esque board game that’s meant for single-player play. Players will choose a character and work their way through various branching paths, with each route offering new challenges. These challenges includes battles, minigames and treasures, and each will have a different modifier to spice up the experience.

Oh, that's how they justify half the game being a forced download?
