From humble GBA beginnings to Switch
Sometimes you have games that get re-releases or remasters that are still somewhat close to what the original looked like. For example, Luigi’s Mansion 2 certainly looks better on Switch than 3DS, but the 3DS version is no visual slouch. Then you have games like Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, where the visual comparisons are like night and day.
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong originally launched on the GBA all the way back in 2004. We’re nearly 20 years removed from that release, and those who missed out on the game the first time around or loved it quite a bit will get a chance to give it a go on Switch. Needless to say, the visuals have received an incredible makeover from GBA to Switch.
While the GBA version still gets the job done from a graphics perspective, the Switch remake has taken things to the next level. That said, which visual presentation do you prefer?
