Japanese software/hardware sales for September 11th to September 17th, 2023

Wondering how the Switch held up in Japan this week? Switch titles impressively made up all 10 of the top 10 best-selling software list. Pikmin 4 holds strong in first place, selling an additional 23k copies in the region. Konami’s Super Bomberman R 2 saw debut this week, placing in second on the charts. Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Deluxe Edition from publisher Bandai Namco also saw debut, placing in fifth and sixth respectively. As for the rest of the charts, it’s quite standard, with top-selling titles like Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom making their usual appearance.

As for hardware, the Switch OLED remains in first place, with the PlayStation 5 placing in second. The Switch Lite placed in third, and the standard Switch took fourth, with the PS5 Digital in fifth.
