Pikmin Bloom getting weekly challenges starting April 28th, 2022

Pikmin Bloom will hit its 6-month anniversary on April 28th, 2022, and Niantic and Nintendo are celebrating by adding a major new feature to the game.

Starting April 28th, Pikmin Bloom players will be able to participate in weekly challenges. These challenges, which let you sign up for a goal solo or with friends, will task you with reaching 50k or 100k steps in a week. Challenges will be offered by a new in-game widget that shows off your progress and lets you add friends to help achieve the goal.

Niantic also hinted at additional features to come. While they haven’t specifically stated what’s in the works, the team did say they’re considering challenges tied to flowers planted or Pikmin collected.
