Epic says Mediatonic not completely let go, Fall Guys remains a priority

Just yesterday, Epic announced that they were laying off a whopping 830 employees. Those employees come from all throughout the company and its developers, but it seemed Mediatonic, the team behind Fall Guys, might have been hit the hardest.

Epic revealed that they were laying off around 16% of their employees, and early reports from social media made it appear that Mediatonic had been absolutely decimated. Today, in a statement provided to VGC, Epic has pushed back on that.

According to Epic, mentions of Mediatonic’s complete gutting are false, and Fall Guys continues to be a priority for the company. Outside of that, Epic hasn’t shared any specifics on just how many employees from Mediatonic were let go.
