Seems a little fishy to us

The original plan for DREDGE’s paid DLC, entitled The Iron Rig, was to have it release sometime in Q4 2023. Unfortunately, those who’ve been holding out for the DLC will now need to muster up a bit more patience.

Black Salt Games has announced that they’re pushing The Iron Rig DLC into 2024. No specific date has been given, but the dev team did share a lengthy message explaining the delay. You can read that message in full below.

We have an announcement to make, and yes, it’s about a delay – but please hear us out.

A few months ago, we were thrilled to share with you our release plans for the first DLC for DREDGE, ‘The Iron Rig.’ Originally, we planned to spend a few months crafting this exciting addition and release it in Q4 this year. However, as we progressed, we were faced with the reality that, given the time of the year, we’d need more lead time to coordinate our marketing and make the launch as exciting as it could be.

We were genuinely disheartened because we knew had made a commitment to all our dedicated players, but we firmly believed there was only one path forward and that was to delay ‘The Iron Rig’ until next year while still delivering an exciting DLC to our players in 2023.

So, we’ve been hard at work crafting some additional content and we can’t wait to share more details with you soon, including when it will be available and how much it will cost. We understand that this isn’t what we had originally promised but we hope you understand. Your support means the world to us.

Thank you for being an essential part of the DREDGE community and please stay tuned for more info soon!

All the best from the team at Black Salt Games.
