European film festival 'MyMetaStories' to be hosted in Minecraft

In three days’ time, MyMetaStories festival in Minecraft will get underway. It will take place from 13 to 16 October 2023. This is the 1st European film festival in the Minecraft® video game.

This unique experience will enable festival gamers to watch 13 short films in a virtual cinema: immerse themselves in the world of MyMetaStories, discover emblematic mini-games such as “Build Battle” or “Mob Arena”, whose concept and settings are inspired by the films, and learn about the professions in the film industry through fun quests.

For the past few days, film fans from all over the world have had access to the films in the 1st edition, online at MyMetaStories.eu and on partner digital platforms, which runs until 29 October 2023.

Minecraft® is the world’s most famous Sandbox Adventure game, developed by Swedish company Mojang Studios, in which you can build your own virtual world or walk around in someone else’s. The video game immerses players in a world made up of blocks in pixel art (a form of digital art). Minecraft® is the best-selling video game of all time, with the largest community of players in the world.

It will be possible to connect to one of the three Minecraft® servers available in three languages: English, Spanish and French.

This experience is relayed on the social networks most relevant to the world of video games, such as TikTok and Discord. Every evening during the event, from 8pm (GMT+2) on Twitch, renowned Minecraft streamers - such as Aypierre and The Guill84 for French speakers, Shadoune666 for Spanish speakers and Nihachu for English speakers - will immerse their community in the world of MyMetaStories.
