Celebrate Halloween with Pokémon GO starting Oct. 19th, 2023

Pokémon GO is getting into the Halloween spirit with new content, theme music, and special research all month long. This year’s Halloween event in Pokémon GO will consist of two parts: the first begins Thursday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. and ends Thursday October 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The second will run immediately following the first and conclude on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Over the course of the event, Trainers will engage with Ghost-type Pokémon including the debut of Greavard. The event will feature a remix of the iconic Lavender Town theme which will play each night. Trainers can listen to a sample here and get excited to Trick-or-Treat as PokéStops and Gyms will be decorated for the holiday.

Timed research is available for purchase for the event and Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Trainers who participate in the event will be able to unlock new avatar items, poses, and more.
