PlatinumGames has announced that the official Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon soundtrack is releasing in Japan on Dec. 20th, 2023. This info was revealed in a 10+ minute promo video that offers up various samples from the soundtrack, and you can give that video a listen/watch above.

In typical Platinum fashion, the Bayonetta Origins soundtrack offers much more than the game’s music. The physical release, priced at $52, includes the following goodies:

  • 6 discs
  • production staff commentary
  • QR code to access all song commentary
  • variations of songs showing how things changed during development
  • theme song lyrics that include the original Celtic text, as well as English and Japanese
  • beautiful binding with a completely original design by art director Tomoko Nishii

If you’d like to sneak a peek at even more samples from the Bayonetta Origins soundtrack, Platinum has shared a massive blog breaking down the project. While the soundtrack will only see physical release in Japan, Platinum does note that you can import through multiple retailers. You can find the soundtrack’s extended details, composer insight and more at the blog.

Last but not least, if you’re of the musically inclined, Platinum has also released a handful of sheet music for Bayonetta Origins. Now you’ll be able to print out these sheets, set them up on your music stand, and play some tunes straight from the game! You can find this free sheet music further down in the soundtrack blog here.
