The latest NieR: Automata collab is a pop-up weapon shop/merch experience

Out of all the game franchises, NieR: Automata must have had some of the most unique and interesting collaborative merch and experiences in recent memory. That has only expanded since the popularity of the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime, which has paved the way for yet another wild collab.

A replica of Pod 042 from NieR: Automata Ver1.1a is taking on the job of weapon shop manager at Takumi Armory‘s pop-up store in Laforet Harajuku on October 21-22, 2023. Those who visit the pop-up will get to see a 1/1 replica of Pod 042 keeping watch over the store, although it’ll be placed on a tripod instead of floating about.

Along with the life-size Pod 042, Takumi Armory will also be filled with replicas of the Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty weapons. There will also be a bunch of posters scattered about the shop showcasing art and scenes from NieR: Automata Ver1.1a. Last but not least, those who make a purchase at the pop-up can take a picture with Pod 042 and the replica weapons.
