Visual novel 'Mystery Lover' heads to Switch Oct. 31st, 2023

Developed by Never Knows Best and published by Cyberisle, the eerie mystery romance Visual Novel “Mystery Lover” Nintendo Switch™ edition will officially be released on October 31. The game is currently available for pre-order in eShop across all regions, with a 10% discount for pre-orders. “Mystery Lover” is an eerie mystery romance Visual Novel. Players play as the ordinary student Reed, a member of the “Mysteria Club”, and together with his girlfriend Persephone, they begin to investigate the rumors of a “VTuber disappearance incident”. The story unfolds in a suspicious live broadcast room telling urban legends, in a building that resembles ruins. What awaits the two of them is… The overwhelmingly positive mystery romance visual novel “Mystery Lover” on Steam will be out on Nintendo Switch on October 31st. It supports English,Japanese and Chinese, with full Chinese audio.

Story Synopsis: Reed, an ordinary student at Apple Lake, finally gets his luck back when he moves up to the next grade. First, his “sister” Layna introduces him to the Mysteria Club. Then, his “almighty” best friend, Charles, helps him out. Finally, after being single for more than ten years, he accidentally gets a girlfriend, the lovely and independent Persephone. And their relationship heats up rapidly in just a few months.

However, Reed’s perfect life is overshadowed by an inconsequential investigation. When Layna tells the urban legend of the “Vtuber Disappearance Incident”, Reed routinely thinks it’s just another fake news. He and Persephone quickly pinpoint the rumoured location - No. 33 Layman Street. They bravely entered the building, intending to find out the truth of the incident. However, in addition to the lies and falsehoods, there are other hidden existences in this dilapidated building.

Game Features: Beautifully illustrated CG, full Chinese voice-over. Changing the direction of the story through the cell phone chatting system, and finding various interesting knowledge in the Tips system. Vtuber Yumeno Hitomi, a Live2d figure produced by renowned artist LianKi, tells stories of mysterious tales.
