We won't buy that for $1

Back in July of 2022, Nacon announced RoboCop: Rogue City. The title was confirmed for a number of platforms, Switch included. The thing is, Nacon hasn’t shared a single detail about the Switch version of RoboCop: Rogue City since that initial announcement. We think you can see where this is going…

Just today, Nacon has confirmed that RoboCop: Rogue City is no longer coming to Switch (h/t Gematsu). To be specific, Nacon said “At this moment we don’t have any plans for a Nintendo Switch release.” We have no clue what led to this decision, but the end result is the same.

If you were looking forward to a Robocop game as a Switch owners, we’re sorry to break this news to you. We snooped around the Switch eShop to see if there were any games to get you a Robocop fix, and the best we can do is Robocop in Fortnite, Robocop in Mortal Kombat 11, and James Pond Codename Robocod.

Or somehow Hamster manages to get Robocop into the Arcade Archives.

Really hoping they bring AVP arcade to Arcade Archives before RoboCop. Either way, it would be exciting to see some licensed titles in the spotlight.

I would love to see that too but wasn't it made by CAPCOM?

And yeah, it would be nice if Hamster could bring the Robocop arcade game to the Archives.

Yeah, Capcom developed and published the game. Hamster has been working with Bandai Namco, Taito, and Nintendo to release classic arcade titles. I'm hoping Hamster and Capcom will start working together soon.

Licensing is probably a hurdle, too. But not an impossible one as that the game was included on Capcom Home Arcade. 🤞
