Super Mario RPG might include a new boss battle (plus other details)

Over the last few days, Nintendo has been sharing a wealth of content for the Switch remake of Super Mario RPG. We’ve seen commercials, new trailers, lengthy Japanese website features and more. Throughout that content, we’ve gotten a look at some fresh changes for this remake that you’ll no doubt be interested in.
- the level-up screen is different, with characters now appearing on a stage instead of using a pipe
- you can swap party members mid-battle
- in-game bestiary included
- Culex boss battle is back, retaining his original sprite look
- there may be another special boss included in the game, accessed via a new special stone
