It’s that time of the year again, my friends! Japan has crunched the numbers on the game industry, and they’ve got a breakdown of how things are going in 2023. In particular, today’s figures show us just what the big movers and shakers were for the first half of this fiscal year, so the numbers come from March 27th to September 24th, 2023.

First up, let’s take a look at the software side of things:

If the next system launches with Mario Kart 10/X it’s over. Pack it in. Done deal
