Minecraft, Mortal Kombat 2 movies to resume filming

Both the Minecraft and Mortal Kombat 2 movies were full-steam ahead earlier this year, but then they came to a grinding halt due to strikes taking place within the entertainment industry. There were strikes tied to both writers and actors alike, but thankfully those have now come to a close

It’s been confirmed that the Minecraft and Mortal Kombat 2 movies have now gotten the green light and they can continue filming. While we don’t know the exact date that these projects will pick up, the director on Mortal Kombat 2 says they’ll be picking things up later this year.

We also don’t know how the strikes have impacted the release plans for either film. While solid dates are yet to be locked in, you’d have to imagine that timelines will have to be shifted somewhat. If/when that happens, we’ll fill you in on the new release timing.
