Mortal Kombat 1 is adding some special characters via DLC drops, and we already know the first wave of faces. While some Mortal Kombat fan favorites are making a return, there are also some special appearances from those outside of the franchise. That includes Omni-Man from Invincible, Peacemaker from…Peacemaker, and Homelander from The Boys.

In the case of Omni-Man and Peacemaker, NetherRealm managed to score the actors people most recognize for those roles. That means J.K. Simmons is reprising his role for Omni-Man and John Cena is once again tackling Peacemaker. In the case of Homelander, things are playing out a bit differently.

Anthony Starr, the actor behind Homelander in the live-action The Boys series, has confirmed that he won’t be lending his voice talents to the character’s appearance in Mortal Kombat 1. No explanation was given for this move, so obviously fans have questions. Will Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1 feature Starr’s likeness? Who will be doing the voice work instead of Starr? As soon as we have those answers, we’ll be sure to give you the scoop.
