HORI reveals Dragon Quest-themed Switch accessories

HORI has been releasing some stellar Switch accessories since the platform launched 6+ years ago, and they continue to crank out some fantastic items that are both stylish and useful. There latest efforts give some of their best products a Dragon Quest makeover, and just in time for the arrival of DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince.

HORI has revealed two new designs for their popular Split Pad Compact controllers, and both put Dragon Quest iconography front-and-center. One version puts the spotlight on the iconic blue Slime, and the other design features the more rare metal Slime. If you decide to go with the metal Slime, you’ll also get a fancy controller grip as well.

Also, well worth pointing out separately just as the image does, if you tilt the thumbsticks in either design at just the right angle, you can see a little Slime hiding inside the base of the stick itself!

Finally, last but in no way least, HORI is also releasing a Dragon Quest-themed Switch carrying case that is peppered with all different kinds of Slimes you’ll find in the franchise. Just how many of them can you spot on the case?

All of these goodies are set to arrive in Japan on Dec. 1st, 2023, day and date with DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince. Sadly, there’s no word on a release outside of Japan at this time, but should an import retailer stock these items, we’ll let you know.
