Them's Fightin' Herds ending active development, story mode cancelled

Them’s Fightin’ Herds received a content update earlier this week, and the dev team followed that up with a message to fans that has them quite upset.
The dev team has revealed that active development on Them’s Fightin’ Herds is set to end once the Season 1 Pass is complete. The game will still get small patches to address game-breaking bugs, but no new content will be produced. Unfortunately, that includes Story Mode, which was something promised in the crowdfunding campaign.
The dev team says Story Mode has always been an ambitious feature and one they truly desired to implement. They know how much fans have been looking forward to Story Mode chapters, and the team hopes players understand how much the devs looked forward to working on and releasing them.
As of right now, the developers are looking for opportunities to release content that has already been produced for Chapter 2, starting with a new stage, “Restricted Section”. This stage will be a part of the version 6.0 update alongside Nidra and Baihe.
For any outstanding items related to the original Indiegogo crowdfund, this shift in development does mean the devs will need to adjust some of their originally planned perks. More information on this will be shared in the coming weeks via email and on the Indiegogo channel.
