Life is Strange originally launched all the way back in 2015, but Nintendo fans had to wait all the way until 2022 to get their hands on the game via a Switch release. Still, that version continued to push the original Life is Strange adventure to millions more, and now the installment has reached a major player milestone.

The official X account for Life is Strange has revealed that reached over 20 million players worldwide. What we don’t get is a breakdown of sales between platforms, which is likely quite tough to calculate. Life is Strange released as a paid game on numerous platforms, but it’s also been added to various subscription services at no additional cost. All we know for a fact is that players through the combined sold/subscription service methods have totaled over 20 million altogether.

If you haven’t played Life is Strange yet, now would be an excellent time to do so. Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection is normally priced at $40 on the Switch eShop, but thanks to a Black Friday sale, you can nab it for just $20 until Dec. 5th, 2023. If you’d like to learn more about the game, you can read a complete breakdown here. You can also see a special video thanking the 20 million players for supporting the game below.
