Mortal Kombat 1 to get story DLC and a 'big surprise'

Mortal Kombat 1 has been available for a few weeks now, and there’s already been a number of different DLC drops. The thing is, all of that DLC has been focused on characters and Fatalities. Some people were hoping to see a bit of story content come their way, and thankfully, we have confirmation that’s in the works.

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon was on stage at the CCXP23 event in Brazil over the weekend, and he fielded a number of questions from fans. One of those questions pertained to story DLC, to which Boon confirmed that content is coming. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any insight as to when that will arrive.

Along with that, Boon said even more is in the works for Mortal Kombat 1 in terms of DLC. After that story DLC drop arrives, Boon said that fans can look forward to a ‘big surprise’ afterwards.
