Get ahead of New Year’s fitness resolutions with the free update to TAIKO NO TATSUJIN™: RHYTHM FESTIVAL on Nintendo Switch™, which adds the new “DON DON Fitness” game mode. Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., the free update to the lauded rhythm game series invites players to feel the burn by swinging each Joy-Con™ in time with the virtual taiko drum targets. Get higher scores by swinging the Joy-Cons in larger arcs, get moving and aim for that high score to get additional in-game rewards. “DON DON Fitness” mode even tracks estimated calories burnt for each song, and records total calories burned each session. Don’t forget to check individual surroundings before starting to play, as it requires lots of arm motion. For more details about the game, check out the game’s official website.

In TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL, visit Omiko City, the game’s center stage full of everyone’s favorite Taiko elements. Together with Don-chan and Katsu-chan, meet the new character, Kumo-kyun and aim to become a Taiko Master.

76 songs including “Gurenge”, “Feel Special”, “Into the Night” are included in the game, along with a new “Improvement Support” – the new Concierge Mode that helps players overcome difficult parts and improve their drumming skills. Also available are Online Matches, where players can battle against other taiko drummers from around the world.

The game also includes the co-operative “Don-chan Band” mode and “Great Drum Toy War” party mode. Players can also expand their repertoire with an additional 500+ songs by purchasing the “Taiko Music Pass” subscription, or bring their drumming skills to the real world with the Taiko no Tatsujin™ Drum Controller for Nintendo Switch, available on the Bandai Namco Store.

Last but not least, a new batch of DLC songs are available for Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, and you can see the complete breakdown in the infographics below.
