Get ahead of New Year’s fitness resolutions with the free update to TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL on Switch, which adds the new “DON DON Fitness” game mode.

Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., the free update to the lauded rhythm game series invites players to feel the burn by swinging each Joy-Con in time with the virtual taiko drum targets. Get higher scores by swinging the Joy-Cons in larger arcs, get moving and aim for that high score to get additional in-game rewards. “DON DON Fitness” mode even tracks estimated calories burnt for each song, and records total calories burned each session. Don’t forget to check individual surroundings before starting to play, as it requires lots of arm motion. For more details about the game, check out the game’s official website.

Drum your way to Fitness! The new song “Supernova Girl”, available as a purchase bonus for the Taiko no Tatsujin Drumsticks Controller (available Dec 13), will be playable in Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival as well. Check it out in the trailer above!
