Fortnite Festival to add instrument controller support

Created by Harmonix, Fortnite Festival takes you on a note highway to rhythmically conquer in front of a roaring crowd. Choose songs for your setlist, then use your preferred control method to shred on Guitar, slap with the Bass, kill it on Keytar, bang on the Drums, or take vocals on the Mic!

Not surprisingly with Harmonix at the wheel, Fortnite Festival looks a lot like classic games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band. There’s no doubt plenty of you still have your old guitars, drums and more just sitting around gathering dust and taking up space. Well, the good news is that you’ll be able to bring these accessories out of retirement sometime in the near future.

Epic has confirmed that they’re working to add instrument accessory support to Fortnite Festival, and they consider the feature a priority. The compatibility is currently in development and Epic says they’ll have more to share in 2024. In other words, if you haven’t sold off your plastic instruments yet, you’ll have a whole new reason to use them soon!
