Persona 5 series hits 10 million sold worldwide

There’s no denying that the Persona series is bigger than ever. While it remained niche for a number of years, the franchise has really come into its own in the last 5 years or so. That’s led to an explosion of popularity, and along with it, massive sales.

Atlus has just shared an update on how things are going for the Persona franchise, focusing in on Persona 5-related titles in particular. According to Atlus, the Persona 5 line of games has now sold over 10 million copies worldwide. That includes the combined totals for Persona 5 proper and its re-releases and spin-offs.

Last we heard from Atlus, the Persona 5 series had reached 9 million copies sold worldwide, and that was back in June 2023. In other words, the franchise has moved another million units in just 4+ months! There’s no doubt Persona 5 Tactica contributed to that figure heavily, at it just arrived on Nov. 17th, 2023.
