Pokémon Co. reveals Captain Pikachu plush

Banpresto and The Pokémon Company have teamed up numerous times over the last 2 decades in order to release all kinds of toys, figurines and more. Now the pair is collaborating once more on a new Pokémon plush that’ll be populating Japan very soon.

Pokémon Co. has revealed the new Captain Pikachu plush, which is the partner of Professor Friede from the Pokémon Horizons: The Series. This plush will come in two different varieties, which each featuring a unique expression. The Captain Pikachu plush will be released at Japanese retailers come December 26th, 2023.

There’s no word on this plush seeing release outside of Japan at this time, but that’s likely because Pokémon Horizons: The Series hasn’t made its debut in North America quite yet. Once the series gets going, there’s no doubt going to be a wall of merch to welcome it.
