As it stands right now, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be launching on April 23rd, 2024. That leaves the dev team roughly 4 months to whip the game into shape, which honestly isn’t a ton of time when considering how big the game is. In a new post from the dev team, we get some insight into what’s being tackled now and how things are going.

Yoshitaka Murayama is the producer, writer, and director of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, so he’s clearly in the know as far as development goes. In a new note from Murayama, we learn that the team is deep into bug fixing for the game right now, and there’s a considerable amount of work to be done.

According to Murayama, bug checking and bug fixing is a heavy task in any game, but RPGs are especially buggy. The scenario progression isn’t so straightforward with some players going different places in the middle of the game, or even running backwards if they want. Because you have to deal with such cases, you need a lot of backup events that many players will never see.

If you’d like to learn more about how the bug-squashing process is going for Eiyuden Chronicle, you can check out the full dev blog here.
