The original plan for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time was to have it released for Switch before 2023 closed out. That obviously didn’t come to be, as Level-5 announced a delay of the game just last November. As things stand now, the game is set to arrive sometime in Summer of 2024.

What’s Level-5 doing with all this extra time? We now have some insight thanks to Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time’s producer, none other than Keiji Inafune.

According to Inafune, the extra time the dev team now has will be used to improve the overall quality of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. This information comes from a quick Famitsu chat with Inafune, which also revealed that the producer’s keyword for 2024 is “explosion.” This ties in with Inafune’s personal goal for the year, which is to strive for “endless evolution and growth as a person.”
