Minecraft Legends came to Switch back in April 2023 and has seen a decent amount of free content updates, bug fixes and more since it launched. We actually detailed the next wave of goodies for Minecraft Legends earlier today, but what we’ve also learned is that it’s the final round of content the game will see.

Announced via the official Minecraft blog, Minecraft Legends will not be seeing anymore content updates going forward. Mojang has said that existing Lost Legends challenges will remain available for free, and you’ll still be able to reap the rewards if you claim victory. Along with that, the team will of course continue to offer technical support to players, and we won’t be removing any functionalities or features from the game. PvP and co-op will also remain fully functional, so you can continue playing whether you prefer to take on the piglins by yourself or battle alongside (or against) friends.

Mojang has thanked fans for following along with this heroic journey and helping make Minecraft Legends the game it is today. As a parting message, Mojang told fans to keep their banners raised because the Overworld will always need a hero.
