Universal Studios Japan is currently seeing construction to open the new Donkey Kong expansion, and in the not-too-distant future, a select group of very lucky fans will have the chance to check out an activity tied to this park before it actually opens.
Universal Studios Japan and Nintendo have teamed up for the Play Wild challenge event, which will let park-goers experience some of what the Donkey Kong expansion has to offer ahead of its grand opening. The only thing we know for sure right now is that there will be a challenge that involves hitting question mark blocks and congas.
This Play Wild challenge event takes place February 15-16 in Tokyo, February 22-23 in Nagoya, and March 7-8, 2024 in Fukuoka. Reservations are open as of today, and they’ll remain so until January 24th, 2023. 3,000 people will be able to participate in the challenge, and those who share videos of the event on social media will have a chance to win advance tickets to the Donkey Kong Country area.
