To be completely blunt, My Time at Sandrock arrived on Switch in a rather rough state. The developers never intended things to play out that way, but timing issues and COVID delays caused a deluge of problems and issues, making for a launch that didn’t start things off on the best foot. Thankfully, Pathea Games is out to set things right with updates, and it seems the next big one is right around the corner.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, Pathea Games talked about what My Time at Sandrock players can expect in the game’s impending update. While we don’t have the full bug list or feature rundown, we do have the major points fans can expect to see:

  • content parity with PC version
  • the aim is to have the Switch version, at worst, a month behind the PC version
  • maintenance patches every single month
  • more content in general (80-100 hours of story content, side quests, marriages, & extra things)

It seems Switch owners can look forward to a much improved, much expanded version of My Time at Sandrock any day now, and we’ll bring you the word on when that update arrives. That said, the Switch update isn’t the only thing on Pathea Games’ mind when it comes to My Time at Sandrock.

While nothing official has been shared just yet, Pathea Games made it clear that they’d love to bring My Time at Sandrock to the Switch’s successor. While the team doesn’t have a clue on Switch successor specs, if everything works out, they’d like to take the PC version of My Time at Sandrock and bring that directly to the Switch successor audience. Hopefully that ends up being the case, and we’ll certainly keep you posted on the matter.
