Kotobukiya shows off NieR Automata Ver1.1a 2B and 9S prototype figurines

When it comes to merch posts on GoNintendo, Pokémon has to take the cake. There’s always some new item in the works at Pokémon Co., but honestly, when it comes to 2023, NieR:Automata merch was a close second. The amount of merch associated with the NieR:Automata line in 2024 is already staggering, and today brings us yet another item for the product onslaught.
This time around, NieR:Automata fans in Japan will be able to snag scale figures of 2B and 9S, courtesy of Kotobukiya. The painted versions of these figurines are yet to be revealed, but today does bring us a fresh look at the prototypes, which you can see above.
The 2B and 9S figures are 1/8 scale and the models are specifically based on designs from the NieR Automata Ver1.1a anime. We unfortunately don’t have details on their pricing quite yet either. The lack of finer points at this juncture makes it clear that the release of these figurines is still quite a ways off.
