Developer Ray Flower Games previously announced that they’re bringing their arcade shooter Captain Soda to the Switch sometime in the future. Today brings us a new trailer, along with confirmation of a 2024 release. You can check out the latest look at the game in the video above.

Throw-down wave after wave of the money-abducting invaders with a loadout of weapons including the Bubble Sub-machine Gun and Bottle Rocket Launcher. Choose your favourite beverage and SHOOT WATER GUNS LOADED WITH IT.

SHAKE AND THROW EXPLODING CANS. FLY WITH A SODA-POWERED JETPACK! HIT THEM WITH THE WHOLE VENDING MACHINE! Equip accessories like Co2 Boost Boots or the Wrapper Cape to fit your playstyle and help you take on the apocalypse in over 25 levels and 3 unique areas.

Jiggle, slosh and clink with realistic animations and effects as you move and shoot. Pepsi Man wished he was this cool. Shoot and blast your way through a vibrant campaign with tons of carbonated themes. Tight and responsive controls for a sweet experience. Plays great with a controller, and includes rumble!

Captain Soda is inspired by Super Crate Box, but succeeds it by offering a campaign mode, upgraded visuals, new enemies, levels, mechanics, customizable weapon loadouts and expands on the screen-wrapping mechanic for an even more intense and skill-based gameplay.
