Developer imaginarylab, an Italian studio dedicating to reimagining classic graphic adventures through the lens of modern technology, has announced Whirlight - No Time To Trip, a laugh-out-loud, time-traveling, point-and-click adventure that blends traditional genre staples with an eclectic mix of gameplay styles. The nostalgic twentieth century adventure is set to launch on Switch in 2025.

Whirlight - No Time To Trip pays homage to point-and-click paragons like Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island while revitalizing the genre through a distinct look. Characters and backgrounds are originally created as 3D assets first, then rendered in 2D to maintain a high visual quality to pop among other modern takes. The result is an immersive and unpredictable spectacle fit for veteran players and newcomers alike.

Whirlight - No Time to Trip begins in the sixties with an eccentric yet genius inventor named Hector. After a dream spurs him to assemble a device made from components scattered around his Venice-inspired hometown of Verice Bay, Hector is hurled forward in time to the nineties. There he meets a determined artist named Margaret. Together, the pair embark on a quest through space and time to avert the planet from global catastrophe.
