Nintendo discusses how The Super Mario Bros. Movie helped them expand their Switch business in various regions

Earlier in the week, Nintendo shared their Q3 results for fiscal year 2024. As is tradition, that breakdown was followed by a question and answer session for investors. During that Q&A, a pair of investors were keen to know more about Nintendo’s plan to expand their business into regions where they traditionally don’t see much of a footprint.
According to Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa, it seems that The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been a great way for Nintendo to make headway with the Switch in some regions outside of the United States, the UK and Japan. The film’s success was undeniable, and that attention helped push movie-goers towards having an interest in Nintendo’s Switch games.
